Over the years I've written about a world renowned dancer, a rancher
turned abstract impressionist painter, an independent film maker and
midwife making good on a promise to open a local birth center. I've
written about water scarcity in the Southwest, land values in the Swan
Valley in Montana and a proposed gold mine on a pristine creek. I've
also written about canning food in my kitchen and my wish for my
